Overview
Operating Room Technician (OR Tech) – OR Tech; Hermiston, Oregon, United States. Start date 06/07/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,002–$2,079 per week; Guaranteed hours: 40 per week; Shift: 5x8 Days; Setting: Critical Access Hospital travel assignment.

Responsibilities
- Function as scrub personnel during operative and other invasive procedures by assembling supplies and equipment required for the procedure, preparing and organizing sterile supplies and instruments, and maintaining the sterile field.
- Assist with placement of sterile drapes; provide instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure; and perform instrument counting procedures in concert with the RN circulator.
- Maintain sterility of the field, anticipate needs of the team, take corrective actions as needed, and prepare sterile dressings post-procedure.
- Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to decontamination areas; assist with post-procedure room turnover and room preparation for subsequent patients.
- Participate in ongoing education and competency verification applicable to scrub responsibilities; maintain privacy and confidentiality of health information.
- Participate in required education for program curricula applicable to the position (e.g., DNV-related program education as applicable).

Requirements
- Education: Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
- Licenses/ Certifications: BLS required; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred.
- Certifications: CST preferred; BLS required.
- Additional training: CRASE training required if the travel assignment extends beyond a 6-month period.
- Experience: Prior OR scrubbing experience preferred (standard for the role).
- Setting: Ability to function as a scrub during operative/invasive procedures and to maintain an organized sterile field.
