Overview
OR Tech – Hermiston, Oregon. This is a travel - temporary assignment starting 06/07/2026 for 13 weeks at a Critical Access Hospital setting. The position offers 40 guaranteed hours per week on a 5x8 Days shift. Weekly pay ranges from $1,933 to $2,122. Date posted: 05/21/2026. Valid through: 09/06/2026.

Responsibilities
- Function as scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures by assembling supplies and equipment required for the procedure.
- Prepare and organize sterile supplies and instruments, assist with placement of sterile drapes, and hand instruments to the surgical team during the procedure.
- Maintain an organized sterile field, monitor sterility, anticipate needs, and take corrective actions as needed; provide instruments and supplies to the surgical team.
- Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing, transport them to decontamination, and assist with room turnover after procedures.
- Participate in ongoing education and competency verification activities; adhere to privacy and confidentiality policies; support the hospital mission and values.
- For agency staffing, be prepared to float to other qualified departments before core staff are floated; participate in required education for DNV programs as applicable to position.

Requirements
- Education: Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
- Licenses/ Certifications: Current BLS required; CST preferred.
- Experience: Relevant operating room experience as a scrub tech preferred; ability to work in sterile field.
- CRASE: If travel assignment extends beyond six months, CRASE training will be required.
- Eligible to work in the United States and in the listed location; ability to work a 5x8 day shift and meet patient care needs in a surgical environment.
