Overview
Operating Room Technician (Travel), OR Tech, in Carbondale, Illinois, starting 06/08/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: 1,948 – 2,017 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Days. This is a travel - temporary assignment in an acute care surgical services environment.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile environments for surgical cases; assist the team by passing instruments and maintaining the sterile field.
- Support OR staff across orthopedic, neuro, robotic, vascular, general, urology, and gynecology procedures; handle instrument counts and equipment coordination.
- Prepare and organize supplies and equipment for cases; assist with patient positioning, draping, and instrument tray setup; ensure turnover between cases is efficient.
- Adhere to aseptic techniques, infection prevention protocols, and safety standards; document intraoperative counts and equipment usage as required.
- Communicate with the surgical team to anticipate instrument and supply needs; respond promptly to requests during procedures.
- Follow on-call requirements as needed and participate in post-operative cleaning and room turnover.

Requirements
- Proven OR technician experience in orthopedic, neuro, robotic, vascular, general, urology, and gynecologic procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment; maintain sterile technique and patient safety.
- Schedule includes days with a 4/10s arrangement; no block schedule guaranteed.
- Willingness to be available for on-call as required by the assignment.
- Location: Carbondale, Illinois; travel - temporary assignment.
