Occupational Therapist – Acute Care (Travel) | Puyallup, Washington, United States

This travel assignment is a shared role across two nearby long-term care facilities within the local area. The position supports residents with occupational therapy needs in a skilled nursing environment.

Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations for adult residents and develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional mobility, activities of daily living (ADLs), and participation in meaningful tasks.
- Implement and supervise therapy interventions to improve strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, and independence in daily activities.
- Communicate findings and progress with the interdisciplinary team; participate in discharge planning and caregiver education.
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory and facility standards.
- Manage a shared schedule across two local facilities (3 days at one site, 2 days at the other) to ensure continuity of care and appropriate patient coverage.
- Adhere to facility policies and safety/infection control practices while delivering high-quality patient care.

Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Washington state
- Ability to participate in a travel assignment with guaranteed 35 hours per week for 13 weeks
- Competence in evaluating and treating adult residents in a long-term care / skilled nursing setting
- Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills for effective collaboration with the care team
- Flexibility to work across two local facilities as part of a shared position
