Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct segments of treatment programs designed to restore and improve physical, social, and mental functions, while meeting department objectives.
- Serve as co-leader in an interdisciplinary approach to patient groups, collaborating with physicians, therapists, and care team members.
- Assess patient needs in the acute care setting; develop and implement OT treatment plans; monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed.
- Document patient progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate findings to the care team to support discharge planning.
- Provide patient and family education on therapeutic activities, safety, activity adaptation, and durable medical equipment as appropriate.
- Participate in rounds and care conferences to support coordinated care and successful patient outcomes.

Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license in California (or eligibility for licensure)
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)
- Experience in an acute care setting is preferred, with demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Effective collaboration and communication skills; ability to work well within an interdisciplinary team
- Availability for a travel assignment with a consistent 40-hour workweek (days)
