Travel - Temporary Assignment with a short-term, acute care setting. Start date: 06/29/2026. Length: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,956–$2,066 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 5x8 Days (day shift, 8 hours; start times include 7:30, 8:00, or 8:30 as available). This position focuses on adult acute care needs with opportunities to work in areas such as acute rehab, Neuro, ICU, and cardiovascular services.

- Experience: Two years of occupational therapy experience preferred
- Certifications: BLS required
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for adult patients in acute care, including rehab, ICU, neuro, and cardiovascular populations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with goal-directed interventions to maximize independence and safety
- Perform therapeutic activities to improve ADLs, mobility, cognitive function, and upper-extremity function as clinically appropriate
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and document findings in the athletic health record per department guidelines
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (nursing, physicians, speech therapy, physical therapy, social work) to coordinate care and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on home programs, safety strategies, and Resources to support continuum of care
Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license in California (or eligible for immediate licensure transfer as required)
- Education: Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) – required if the OT license was obtained on or after January 2007, or foreign equivalent
- Experience: Two years of OT experience preferred; focus areas include Adult Acute Rehab, Neuro, ICU, Cardiovascular
- Certifications: BLS certification required
- Clinical skills: Demonstrated ability to document and use Epic (Cerner experience is a plus)
- Work setting: Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced short-term acute care environment
- Additional: Travel-ready and able to adapt to a 5x8 day shift schedule
