The Associate Recruiter, Nursing & Allied is responsible for sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, and placing nursing and allied healthcare professionals in contract and travel assignments nationwide. This role builds meaningful relationships with clinicians by understanding their career goals, professional experience, and personal motivations. The Associate Recruiter serves as a trusted career advisor, educating clinicians on market opportunities, industry trends, and the benefits of partnering with AMN Healthcare. Success in this role is driven by the ability to build a strong pipeline of nursing talent, foster long-term clinician relationships, and match qualified healthcare professionals with opportunities that align with their personal and professional goals while meeting client workforce needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Meet and exceed daily and weekly performance metrics to grow and maintain a robust network of nursing and allied healthcare professionals.

  • Execute strategic sourcing and prospecting activities utilizing AMN's proprietary applicant tracking system, phone outreach, email campaigns, referrals, and other recruiting channels to attract top clinical talent.

  • Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date candidate records, including contact information, qualifications, compliance documentation, career interests, and key selling points.

  • Consult with clinicians regarding their current career situation, future goals, and assignment preferences while identifying both stated and unstated needs to build trust and increase engagement.

  • Evaluate clinicians' qualifications, availability, licensure, experience, skills, and likelihood of assignment completion to ensure strong placement outcomes.

  • Educate clinicians on market trends, assignment availability, compensation opportunities, benefits, and career advancement options to support informed career decisions.

  • Present AMN Healthcare's value proposition and discuss compensation packages to create competitive and mutually beneficial employment opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Account Managers to present qualified candidates, coordinate interviews, and facilitate successful placement outcomes.

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clinicians throughout their employment lifecycle to encourage redeployment and retention.

Qualifications

Education & Years of Experience

  • Associate's Degree plus 0-2 years of work experience OR High School Diploma/GED plus 2-4 years of work experience

Additional Experience

  • 2+ years of nursing recruitment experience required.

  • Sales, recruiting, customer service, or business development experience preferred.

  • Experience building and maintaining relationships through phone-based outreach and consultative conversations.

  • Healthcare staffing, travel nursing, allied health, or clinician recruiting experience preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to meet performance metrics and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in an office/home office environment.

  • Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

  • Ability to communicate effectively through phone, video conferencing, email, and other technology platforms.

Pay Rate

$20.25 - $25.25 Hourly

Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
