About the Role

Talarico for Texas is hiring a Travel Manager to join James Talarico's US Senate campaign. This is a full-time, paid position ideal for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys coordinating complex logistics. The Travel Manager will lead campaign travel operations for staff, managing transportation, lodging, and itineraries while working closely with the scheduling and operations team to support efficient travel plans across the campaign.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage campaign travel logistics for staff, including flights, lodging, ground transportation, and itineraries
  • Work closely with the scheduling and operations team to align travel plans with campaign priorities and timelines
  • Build and maintain detailed travel itineraries and logistics documents for campaign travel
  • Troubleshoot travel related issues and adjust logistics quickly in response to schedule changes or operational needs
  • Track travel budgets, receipts, invoices, and related administrative documentation
  • Communicate travel updates and logistics with staff
  • Support operational planning for campaign events, trips, and multi-stop travel schedules

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in political campaigns, scheduling, operations, logistics, event coordination, government offices, operations, logistics, or other relevant experience
  • Experience coordinating complex logistics, calendars, or travel arrangements
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting schedules
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Exhibits discretion and sound judgment in handling sensitive political, personal, and confidential information
  • Comfortable with nontraditional hours, reflecting the pace and demands of a statewide campaign
  • Commitment to the mission, values, and success of the Talarico for Texas campaign

Benefits

Reports to: Deputy Operations Director

Location: Austin, Texas

Salary: $6,000 - $7,000 per month

After graduating from McNeil High School, he earned a bachelor’s degree in government from The University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in education policy from Harvard University. James taught 6th grade at an underserved public school where he worked with kids and

families to close the gaps in his classroom. He now serves as the local Executive Director of a nonprofit that provides innovative technology to thousands of our students. James is committed to working with everyone — Republicans, Democrats, and Independents — to move Texas forward.
