Overview
Laboratory Technologist (Medical Technologist) – Templeton, California – Start date 06/22/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,572–$1,664. Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed. Shift: 5x8 days. Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. Travel assignment supported by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Perform clinical laboratory testing per CLS standards, including specimen processing and routine/advanced analyses across applicable disciplines.
- Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation; maintain QC/QA programs and instrument logs.
- Enter, verify, and report results in the EPIC Beaker LIS; ensure accurate data capture and proper specimen tracking.
- Adhere to safety, regulatory, and quality guidelines; participate in proficiency testing and perform routine maintenance as required.
- Communicate critical results promptly to the appropriate clinical teams; participate in shift handoffs and collaborative problem solving.
- Rotate through multiple lab areas as needed for staffing coverage and provide support during high-demand periods, including weekends.

Requirements
- Certification: CLS certification required; California CLS license is not required.
- EPIC Beaker experience: must have EPIC Beaker experience.
- Experience: 1 year of laboratory experience preferred.
- Certifications: ASCP or NCA certification preferred.
- Scheduling: Ability to work a 5x8 day shift with rotating weekends; start times vary (e.g., 06:00, 07:00, 13:00, 14:00) to support lab operations.
- Environment: Ability to work effectively in a hospital laboratory setting and follow all safety and regulatory guidelines.
