Responsibilities
- Process histology specimens through fixation, processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining with attention to quality control.
- Prepare, stain, and mount slides for microscopic evaluation; maintain accurate labeling and specimen tracking.
- Operate and maintain histology equipment; perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards; manage supplies and instrument inventory for the department.
- Document processing steps and communicate findings or concerns to the appropriate pathology team members; ensure proper chain-of-custody.

Requirements
- No minimum years of experience
- ASCP Histology Technician certification: Preferred
- Cytology experience: Preferred
- Master’s Degree: Preferred
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume environment
- Must be able to work the listed night shift (2300-0730) in a fast-paced histology setting
- Education and licensure requirements aligned with the job notes
