OptumCare, the largest network of medical groups in the nation, is seeking a Traveling Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our corporate care team. As a Primary Care Provider, you will be afforded an opportunity to practice whole person primary care without many of the constraints of a traditional community practice. Optum Onsites delivers employer-based primary care that focuses on whole-person health, not occupational health services. This 0.75 FTE position serves as a traveling provider supporting short-term coverage needs across 24 located in Tennessee, Texas, Massachusetts, Indiana, Missouri, Wisconsin, Florida, Delaware, and Arizona. The selected candidate must obtain and maintain licensure in all assigned states. Open will cover the cost of any required licenses not currently held by the candidate. Travel and accommodations are included.

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver high quality Primary Care including:

• Wellness and Preventative Physical Exams
• Acute care of minor illness and injuries
• Chronic Disease Management and Longitudinal care
• Minor procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting, incision/drainage, etc.)
• Lifestyle and well-being counseling
• Medical management of behavioral health conditions
• Telemedicine services
• Provide clinical leadership of worksite staff
• Work closely with a certified medical assistant

Required Qualifications:

• Certified Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• 2+ years of clinical experience as a FNP / PA in primary care, family medicine, internal medicine, ambulatory, emergency and/or urgent care setting(s)
• Experience using computers for professional communication
• Experience using Electronic Health Record systems for medical documentation
• Experience seeing patients of all ages including children and adolescents
• Willing and able to travel overnight with expenses covered 100% of the time
• Valid driver's License

Preferred Qualifications:

• Multiple state licensures or the ability to obtain (TN, TX, MA, IN, MO, WI, FL, DE, AZ)
• Primary care or urgent care experience
• Experience treating patients ages 2 years and up

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $109,500 - $164,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
