
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Travel & Expense Business/Expense Analyst to join our Workplace Experience team. This role is responsible for managing, analyzing, and optimizing the company’s travel and expense processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, and cost control. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, thorough knowledge of expense policies, and experience with travel and expense management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze employee travel and expense data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for cost savings.
- Review and validate expense reports and reimbursements to ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with finance, procurement, payroll, human resources, and travel teams to improve expense management processes and controls.
- Monitor travel and expense activities, flagging potential fraud, policy violations, or errors for investigation and resolution.
- Prepare and present regular reports on travel and expense metrics, budget adherence, and forecasting to management.
- Support audit preparation and assist internal/external auditors with travel and expense inquiries.
- Assist in the implementation and optimization of travel and expense management software/tools.
- Serve as a liaison between employees, vendors, and travel management companies to resolve queries and discrepancies.
- Drive employee training and communications related to travel and expense policies and workflows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- 4 years plus of experience in expense analysis, travel management, or finance operations.
- Strong proficiency with travel and expense management platforms (e.g., Workday, Concur, SAP, Chrome River) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
Knowledge of corporate travel policies, expense regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools is a plus.
Preferred:
- Experience working in a global or multinational organization.
- Familiarity with procurement and vendor management processes.
