Position Information The Travel Division Administration Section is seeking a highly skilled college student to work full-time as a year-round intern supporting the Special Projects Coordinator and Travel Division initiatives. This position provides hands-on experience developing and maintaining business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools while contributing to high-level projects that improve processes, data management, collaboration, and operational efficiency. This position requires skilled proficiency in Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, JSON, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint.
At TxDOT, you will join a team dedicated to serving Texans and improving how the Travel Division delivers its programs and services. This internship offers valuable experience with enterprise technology, process improvement, solution development, project coordination, and public service.

Assists the Special Projects Coordinator with planning, developing, testing, documenting, and supporting solutions built with Power Automate, Power Apps, Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, and other Microsoft 365 applications. Assignments may include creating automated workflows, configuring applications and data structures, working with JSON-based formatting or integrations, troubleshooting technical issues, and helping translate business needs into practical digital solutions. Employees at this level perform work within established guidelines and procedures, receive direction and regular feedback from their supervisor, and are expected to apply sound technical judgment, protect data integrity, and communicate project status and issues clearly.
Essential Duties:• Assist the Special Projects Coordinator with high-level technology and process-improvement projects.
Minimum Qualifications:Education: Must be a student in high school or other educational institution or accepted into a college, university or educational institution.Other Conditions:Must be at least 16 years of age, a student currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education to include a trade/vocational school.Employees at least 18 years of age with valid driver's license may be assigned driving duties and may use power tools.Preferred Qualifications:• Current enrollment in an accredited college or university, preferably as a junior or senior.
