About the Role:
As a Travel Consultant, you’ll be responsible for providing a complete reservation, ticketing and information service involving all facets of Queensland Rail long distance and tourist train travel.
We have multiple fixed-term, full-time opportunities based in Brisbane until May 2027
About the role:
• Provide informative and accurate advice to customers
• Ensuring that the allocation of all reservations and ticketing is correct and credit card, cash and account holder payments are completed in a timely manner
• Upsell Queensland Rail Travel products
• Comply with all policies, procedures and regulations regarding Queensland Rail Travel Customer Contact Centre operations
• Work various shifts between the hours of 06:55 and 19:10 across 7 days a week. The hours will vary week to week as part of a Master Roster rotation, including 1 in 4 weekends and a number of public holidays
• A small number of staff also complete overnight on-call duties

About you:
• Have a passion for customer service and a genuine interest in helping people
• Have a sales focused attitude coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills to ensure a positive experience for our customers
• Be a quick thinker, with the ability to work through problems and provide solutions
• Manage multiple tasks with an agile and fast-paced environment
• Be a dedicated and flexible team player and adapt well to change in the workplace
• Previous Call Centre, Corporate Travel and/or Travel and Tourism experience would be highly desirable
• Intermediate computer and Microsoft Office skills
