Overview
Certified Surgical Technologist – Cardiac Operating Room (Cardiac OR) in Rochester, New York. Travel assignment starting July 6, 2026 for several weeks. 12-hour shifts. Work setting: hospital with a focus on adult cardiac cases including CABG, TAVI, and advanced heart failure support. Weekly pay ranges from $1,694 to $1,733 per week. No guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate for cardiac procedures (e.g., CABG, TAVI, heart failure devices) and support a multidisciplinary team
- Prepare and organize instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical cases; ensure proper room setup and turnover between cases
- Maintain sterile technique, safe handling of sharps, and accurate surgical counts per policy
- Handle solutions and pharmacologic agents under direction of a registered nurse
- Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate needs and assist as needed during operations
- Participate in on-call, weekend, and holiday coverage per unit needs and rotation

Requirements
- NBSTSA certification or 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technician
- Two (2) years or recent experience in a cardiac operating room
- Ability to scrub and circulate
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- NY license for Surgical Technology (or equivalent NY licensing requirement)
- Eligible to work in a hospital setting and meet unit requirements
