Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Acute Care | Fairmont, West Virginia | Start: 08/31/2026 | Duration: 13 weeks | Weekly pay: $1,654–$1,700 per week | Guaranteed hours: 35 | Shift: 08:00–16:30 (8.5 hours) per day, 5 days per week in a long-term care nursing home setting. This is a travel - temporary assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC. The role supports residents in a skilled nursing environment requiring collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to maintain and improve functional abilities and daily living skills.

Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to residents under the supervision of a licensed OT, focusing on activities of daily living and functional mobility.
- Assess resident needs, participate in treatment planning, and implement therapy interventions to improve independence.
- Instruct and assist residents with therapeutic exercises, bedside activities, and adaptive devices to enhance safety and functional skills.
- Document progress notes, goals, and response to therapy in accordance with facility policy and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with nursing and rehabilitation staff to coordinate care, track goals, and support discharge planning and caregiver education.

Requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a long-term care setting as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of therapeutic modalities, adaptive equipment, and activity facilitation for older adults
- Willingness to commit to a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed hours
- Compliance with facility health and safety requirements and standard regulatory guidelines
