Overview
Cardiovascular Technologist (OR - CVOR Tech) travel assignment in Herrin, Illinois, United States. Start date: 07/06/2026 for a 13-week engagement in a hospital operating room. Weekly pay range: $2,002-$2,153 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 4x10 rotating. This temporary travel assignment is managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Assist in transportation and positioning of patients for cardiovascular procedures
- Prepare the room and equipment: assemble/dismantle tables and instruments, open sterile supplies, and perform skin prep and draping
- Assist the surgeon by gowning and gloving, passing instruments and sutures, and maintaining instrument and sponge counts
- Apply dressings and assist in handling specimens as needed
- Decontaminate instruments and supplies per policy; support efficient turnover of the operating room
- Restock supplies to ensure readiness for subsequent cases and patient safety

Requirements
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent
- Certification path: Non-certified — graduate of an OR technician program accredited through ARC/STSA or on-the-job/military training; Certified — NBSTSA or NCCT certification
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Experience: 6 months of OR tech experience or equivalent specialized training; on-the-job or military training acceptable
- Ability to work in a surgical operating room environment and support sterile technique and patient care
