As our Trauma Surgeon, you will help critically injured patients receive immediate, expert surgical intervention so they can achieve optimal recovery and improved quality of life. This vital role is central to our commitment to providing world-class emergency care.

In this role, you will lead surgical teams in high-stakes environments, performing complex procedures to stabilize and repair life-threatening injuries. You will be expected to diagnose and treat a wide range of traumatic conditions, from blunt force trauma to penetrating injuries, with precision and calm under pressure, leveraging the latest surgical techniques and technologies. Some additional details:

  • Joining a group of 7 Trauma Surgeons.
  • Level I Trauma center with ICU rotation. Clinic three ½ days per month to see post op patients, no new. We have General Surgeons in this clinic that can see new patients.
  • Projected Volumes: Census is 40-80 depending on time of year.
  • Outpatient? Yes for post op care
  • Inpatient? Yes, Level I Trauma/Acute Care Surgery/ICU
  • Consults? Yes Acute Care Surgery
  • Mix of primary call, back up call, and ICU rotation plus three ½ clinic days per month
  • Procedures - Acute Care Surgery, Level I Trauma surgical care.
  • Call rotated with all Trauma surgeons. Mix of primary call, back up call, and ICU rotation plus three ½ clinic days per month.

To be successful in this role, you must possess board certification in General Surgery with fellowship training in Trauma Surgery or Surgical Critical Care, alongside a proven track record in a Level I trauma center. We are seeking a highly skilled individual with exceptional clinical judgment, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to continuous professional development in the evolving field of trauma care.

We are offering a competitive 2 year salary guarantee then RVU-based, a sign-on bonus, full benefits, CME allowance, Malpractice with tail coverage, and relocation assistance for eligible candidates. Job Requirements

Required

  • MD or DO Degree
  • ACGME Residency training
  • Fellowship in Trauma/ Surgical Critical Care
  • ABMS Board Eligible of Certified
  • Active or eligible license in the state of Arizona
