Under direct supervision of the trauma program manager, the trauma registrar abstracts medical information
from records and enters clinical data in the state registry data-base.
Entry of clinical data of abstracted charts of trauma patients in the state registry in a timely manner per trauma
guidelines.
Abstraction of clinical data from charts of trauma patients when needed.
Actively participates in ongoing preparation for any/all state agencies, as well as the ACS, site visits.
Collaborates in a professional manner with all members of the healthcare team to promote the goals and
objectives of the trauma department.
Maintains active participation in the Trauma Multi-Disciplinary Committe and the performance improvement
process.
Collaborates with the trauma program manager and other hospital staff in maintaining updates policies and
procedures related to trauma-under the trauma program managers direction.
