SAMGI is seeking a full-time Trauma & Acute Care Surgeon to join our established surgical team at The Hospitals of Providence East Campus, a Level II Trauma Center serving the greater El Paso region.

Schedule & Practice Structure

• 
  12 day shifts and 12 night shifts per month
• 
  Shared coverage model with collegial surgical team

  Mix of operative trauma and emergency general surgery cases

  Emphasis on efficient workflows, communication, and quality care delivery

Responsibilities

• 
  Provide trauma and emergency general surgery coverage
• 
  Evaluate and manage critically injured and acute surgical patients
• 
  Perform operative trauma and emergency surgical procedures
• 
  Collaborate closely with team surgeons, APPs, and consultants
• 
  Participate in trauma quality improvement and program initiatives
• 
  Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation

Qualifications

• 
  Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• 
  Active Texas medical license or IMLC
• 
  Current or recent experience at a Level I or Level II Trauma Center required
• 
  Surgical Critical Care fellowship training or certification preferred
• 
  Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and team-oriented approach
