The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is seeking a hard-working, hands-on individuals to join our maintenance team. In this role, you will be part of the front-line crew responsible for the upkeep of Utah’s highways, ensuring our infrastructure remains safe for the traveling public in all conditions.
This position may be filled as a Transportation Technician I or II, depending on qualifications and experience. Most employees start at the Technician I level and advance as they complete training through UDOT’s Transportation Education Program (TEP)

Maintenance Technicians are also trained to support UDOT’s construction and permit projects. After approximately 18 months, you will have the opportunity to cross-train in construction inspection and materials testing, allowing you to build a versatile career across different department operations.
