Reports to: Dispatcher
- Operate tractor, and transport hazardous and other materials to and from client locations at Intra/Interstate locations in appropriate container vehicles; check assigned equipment prior to scheduled trips, at customer locations, and as necessary, to ensure that units are operating efficiently and safely at all times in accordance with Federal, State and Company regulations and protocols.
- Perform the loading and/or unloading of either spent or regenerated acid at tank farm by operating appropriate valves and pumps to load/unload acid to be regenerated or delivered; maintain communications with Operating Technicians to ensure that proper volumes are transported to and from tankers and recorded in a manner consistent with company's operating procedures; be alert to and report equipment malfunctions: abnormal inventory levels and similar potential problems.
- Report any and all malfunctions to Company Office Coordinator immediately in order that special repairs and routine maintenance can be scheduled and accomplished; maintain log of repairs, problems encountered and other relevant operating matters for inspection and record purposes.
- Remain with and assist client personnel in loading processed and Spent Hydrochloric Acid into trailers and equipment exercising the highest degree of safe working practices and attention to avoid spills, hazards and exposure to unsafe conditions; immediately report any deviations from routine to Company Coordinator; maintain log of time on the road and job in accordance with Company and Department of Transportation guidelines.
- Stay abreast of and cooperate with the Company in maintaining ongoing compliance with all applicable regulations governing valid driver's licenses, physical examinations, rehabilitation processes, when necessary, and other mandatory D.O.T. regulations; report accidents, spills and other irregularities to Company Coordinator on a timely basis.
- Conduct business affairs on behalf of Company in a professional manner, avoiding conflicts and situations reflecting negatively on the Company.
- Participate in safety meetings and actively engage in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
- Help oversee the regulatory framework by reviewing and auditing operating procedures, logbooks, customer sites, site evaluations, and other programs and procedures.
- Sweep and clean work area and common areas regularly to maintain facility in a clean, safe, and presentable manner and to support Laborer activities.
- Perform other related tasks associated with operating equipment and the pick-up and delivery of liquid materials to and from the PVS facilities and outside locations.
