Job Description

IDEXX Laboratories are looking for an outstanding Transportation Support Specialist to work in our transport department at our veterinary diagnostic reference laboratory in Wetherby. The transport department coordinates the collection of diagnostic specimens from locations in the UK and Ireland, dealing with internal and external customers over the phone.

Hours: Monday - Friday 37.5 Hours per week (occasional Saturdays to cover holiday/sickness)

1 year Fixed term Contract

In this Role:

  • You will answer inbound calls from customers requesting a courier collection

  • You will receive email requests to book collections

  • You will check all shipments are on time and communicate with relevant internal customers

  • You will arrange the shipping of samples to Pathologists off site

  • You will assist in troubleshooting courier companies in sample pick up enquires

  • You will deal with customer complaints and recording and resolving issues quickly

What You Will Need to Succeed:

  • You will have previous customer service experience and call center experience is preferred

  • You will have excellent communication skills as you will be working with various stakeholders

  • You will have fantastic attention to details and brilliant organisational skills

  • You will be expected to demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new procedures and be able to adapt to change quickly

  • You will be disciplined and a self-starter by nature
