Neighborhood Healthcare PACE is a managed medical plan built around surrounding participants with a team of physicians, nurses, social workers, therapists and care coordinators to help them maintain good health and a good quality of life. Our goal is to keep our seniors happy and healthy at home surrounded by their family and community.
As a private, non-profit 501(C) (3) community health organization, we serve over 500k medical, dental, and behavioral health visits from more than 100,000 people annually. With two PACE centers located in Riverside County, our PACE program is positioned to serve over 650 senior participants.
ROLE OVERVIEW and PURPOSE
The Transportation Supervisor will oversee and ensure the overall quality of Neighborhood Healthcare PACE transportation services. This role will determine transportation schedules and services for PACE participants and potential enrollees to access medical care and specialty/referral appointments. Additionally, this role will work with transportation contractors and PACE staff to ensure proper transportation documentation is secured and reported.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. This position is onsite.
Responsibilities
- Plans and coordinates all transportation workflows, schedules, and activities for drivers, aides, and PACE
- Oversees and coordinates logistical processes with internal and external transportation partners/providers to ensure timely and safe transportation of participants and potential enrollees
- Reviews and analyzes invoices to confirm charges for services provided by outside contractors and identify potential savings for the future
- Monitors program records to ensure policies and procedures are maintained
- Participates and attends the Interdisciplinary Team as a member to take part in the participant care planning, including communicating any changes in participant conditions
- Coordinates with other PACE staff, participants, and caregivers to schedule advance transportation services in advance for participants and/or potential enrollees by securing date, time, location, and contact person information
- Documents and communicates late arrivals to management to ensure participants with appointments are taken care of properly
- Documents participant cancellations or no-shows at the clinics
- Ensures transportation vehicles are properly maintained and serviced in compliance with Department of Transportation and Neighborhood regulations and policies for safety and comfort, including permits, tags, registrations
- Maintains accurate records, logs, and data of day-to-day transportation activities; provides accurate reports to manager
- Communicates all schedule or location changes to PACE staff and transportation providers
- Resolves immediate service problems, reviews post-accident incidents, and communicates clinical services concerns to management, including reporting all incidents according to PACE center protocols
- Makes recommendations to update transportation policies and procedures to improve workflow and system efficiencies
- Assists management with vetting service contracts and third-party vendors
- Ensures transportation services are delivered with the highest quality service standards and customer service
- Responds to transportation inquiries in a timely manner
- Ensures drivers and external transportation service providers meet the PACE training and certification requirements
- Works with external transportation providers to develop and implement quarterly transportation surveys to monitor trends and services
- Participates in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction opportunities
- Maintains and complies with established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards
- Documents all transportation needs for participant appointments and communications in RTZ PCO
- Coordinates with PACE team to address special accommodations requests for participants

Qualifications
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma/GED required; vocational or specialized training in transportation preferred
- 2 years of passenger transportation experience required; transportation experience within healthcare or social services preferred
- Valid California Class C driver’s license required; Valid California Class A or Class B commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred, with appropriate passenger endorsement preferred
- Must maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with Neighborhood Healthcare policy and applicable DMV/insurance requirements
- Must successfully complete organization-required defensive driving, passenger assistance, wheelchair securement, and other applicable transportation safety training within the established introductory/training period
- Must maintain all licenses, certifications, endorsements, and training required to operate assigned vehicles and provide transportation coverage, when applicable
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire and must be maintained as a condition of employment. These courses must follow AHA guidelines, but may be completed through approved online providers such as ProMed or other equivalent programs that meet recognized BLS standards
- In addition, current CPR and First Aid certification are required for all PACE employees in accordance with CMS and DHCS requirements. First Aid training will be provided at onboarding and must be renewed annually.

Pay range: $80,200 - $115,500 annually, depending on experience.
Compensation Disclosure: The posted salary range reflects the designated pay grade for this position. While this range represents the broader classification of the role, actual compensation will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s overall knowledge, skills, and experience, market data and industry benchmarks, internal equity within the organization, Budgetary considerations and organizational needs. As a result, placement within the range is not guaranteed, and the full pay grade range may not be utilized.
