FLSA STATUS Non-Exempt

HOURS Part-time (Less than 29 hours per week), Full Time (30+ hours per week), Seasonal (Under 6 months per year)

Vesta Property Services provides property management and related services to developers of planned unit communities and residential associations. Headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, Vesta offices are strategically located throughout the Sunshine State. Vesta employs over 1,500 trained and educated professionals providing a wide spectrum of services to residents of more than 300,000 homes in over 800 communities.

Under the direction of the Transportation Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing excellent customer service while transporting residents on and off designated routes in and outside a private active adult retirement community. This person will be responsible for the safety and welfare of all residents and guests while maintaining compliance with all state and federal laws, community rules and regulations. Full time and part time positions available. Weekend, holiday and night shifts may be required.



Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES include the following:

  • Must be able to navigate a large automatic vehicle.
  • Must be able to learn and enforce critical safety rules.
  • Must be able to keep on schedule.
  • Must be able to interact with residents and their guests in a positive manner in all situations.
  • Must be able to sit/drive for long periods of time
  • Maintain appearance and cleanliness of all work areas including Tram.
  • Daily inspection of assigned vehicles to ensure the safety and welfare of residents, guests and employees.
  • Produce written incident and Accident Reports and distribute internally to senior management.
  • Assist as needed during emergencies including; calling 911, producing written reports, first aid, traffic congestions, etc.
  • Heavy resident contact. Must be calm and controlled under pressure and in uncomfortable situations.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet while in the office, or moderately loud when in the field.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and reach.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day.

TRAVEL:

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Class B CDL with passenger endorsement.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
