What You’ll Do:
Drive Performance & Optimize Operations
Monitor and assess logistics service provider performance against SLAs, using trend analysis to inform opportunities for incremental improvements in lane efficiency and routing effectiveness.
Contribute to the management and optimization of a transportation network with an annual spend of approximately $90M, supporting cost efficiency and performance visibility
Manage high-valueand complexshipments with a focus on safety, cost control, and risk mitigation
Monitor shipments proactively to ensure on-time delivery; quickly resolve delays and communicate with stakeholders
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities across the network
Collaborate with internal partners to adjust routes and strategies as business needs evolve
Lead Day-to-Day Transportation Execution
Partner with internal customers to understand transportation needs and deliver cost-effective, reliable solutions
Ensure all shipments are executed successfully and meet customer expectations
Coordinate and schedule transportation requests, managing both preplanned and ad hoc shipments to support timely and efficient delivery
Manage shipment tracking and provide real-time visibility across the network
Act as a key point of contact for transportation inquiries
Work closely with logistics providers to resolve issues and maintain strong operational performance
Review and validate transportation invoices to ensure accuracy and timely payment
Support Freight Audit & Continuous Improvement
Audit and approve freight invoices to maintain accurate financial records
Contribute to process improvements and take on additional responsibilities as business needs evolve
What You Bring
Education & Experience
Post-secondary education in Transportation, Logistics, or Business
Minimum 3+ years of experience in transportation/logistics, including:
- International freight (FCL, LCL, air, parcel)
- Multimodal shipping (TL, LTL)
- Working with freight forwarders
Experience managing heavy equipment transportation is an asset
Strong understanding of supply chain and parts distribution networks
Advanced Excel skills and analytics capability
