PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This role is part of the North American Building Insulation (NABI) business and holds responsibility for executing daily outbound transportation operations and managing communications with carriers across various Owens Corning manufacturing sites. The Transportation Service Specialist (TSS) is tasked with allocating daily freight assignments within the Owens Corning carrier network, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled by the promised delivery dates while optimizing cost efficiency. In pursuit of seamless delivery and impeccable product integrity, the TSS engages in collaborative efforts with customers, carriers, manufacturing facilities, customer service specialists, logistics analysts, material planners, and other relevant Owens Corning entities to proactively identify and resolve any logistical challenges.
