Overview

An inbound raw material transportation planner is responsible for proactive account management and operational management to ensure seamless execution of shipments across the PBNA network. This role focuses on load optimization, carrier assignment, capacity planning, issue resolution, and collaboration with both internal and external partners. The Planner must anticipate service gaps, communicate effectively, and deliver reliable, cost-effective transportation solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Build, prioritize, and manage shipments in alignment with established SOPs and EDI processes.
  • Hold carriers accountable for routing guides, service requirements, and communication standards.
  • Provide clear, timely communication to shippers, customers, and internal PepsiCo stakeholders.
  • Ensure service execution meets operational expectations and customer needs.
  • Maintain carrier compliance, including required track & trace and check call activities.
  • Ensure route guide adherence by holding carriers accountable to awarded volume.
  • Monitor all in-transit shipments and proactively alert customers to anticipated service gaps.
  • Provide timely issue resolution, including escalations when needed.
  • Maintain flexibility within the work schedule, including occasional weekend coverage when necessary.
  • Effectively manage shipments using TMS software tools.
  • Achieve 95% On Time Delivery (OTD) to schedule delivery appointments.
  • Optimize transportation mode selection to deliver the best service at the lowest landed cost.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $54,700 - $82,050.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Preferred) in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • 1–3 years of operations, logistics, or transportation experience preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and prioritization skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); TMS experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to build productive relationships.
