Job Category: AdministrativeJuniper is Growing! We are seeking a Transportation Safety Coordinator for our Safety Department. The Transportation Safety Coordinator is responsible for managing all system-related activities within the fleet safety monitoring platform. This role monitors and reviews vehicle and driver data, tracks and documents safety events, coordinates branch follow up, and partners with Safety Managers to support investigations and event closure. The Transportation Safety Coordinator ensures data accuracy, reporting readiness, and consistent system usage while maintaining compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate driver safety events captured in the fleet safety monitoring platform to determine whether the event reflects unsafe driving behavior or resulted from external conditions and dismiss events deemed false or non actionable in accordance with established review guidelines.
- Monitor open and aging safety events within the fleet safety monitoring platform and prompt managers to review events and ensure coaching is completed when required with discussions documented in the system.
- Maintain accurate event records within the fleet safety monitoring platform and analyze driver safety events, coaching activity, and driver behavior trends to generate reports, dashboards, and summaries that provide leadership with visibility into the fleet safety performance and risk patterns.
- Identify and escalate significant trends, repeated unsafe driving behaviors, or unresolved safety concerns and coordinate with managers, the Safety team, and Human Resources when events indicate elevated risk, repeated violations, or policy concerns requiring review or corrective action. Support investigation follow up, documentation collection, and event resolution as needed.
- Administer the fleet safety monitoring platform, including driver and vehicle assignments, system access updates, and onboarding and offboarding of users while ensuring compliance with company policies and requirements related to vehicle monitoring and fleet safety data. Assist in resolving system, device, or event reporting issues by coordinating with Safety, Fleet, and branch teams as needed.
- Monitor the fleet safety monitoring platform updates, system enhancements, and emerging capabilities and recommend improvements that strengthen fleet safety monitoring, reporting accuracy, and overall system utilization.
- Follow, promote, and enforce all labor laws, safety policies, practices, and procedures to ensure safe working conditions and behaviors are maintained. Assist with safety investigations and safety hazards and/or incidents.

Qualifications:
•    High school diploma or equivalent required.
•    Minimum of 1 year of administrative, data review, fleet coordination, or safety support experience preferred.
•    Experience working within vehicle monitoring, telematics, or fleet safety management systems preferred.
•    Strong attention to detail with the ability to review data, identify discrepancies, and maintain accurate records.
•    Ability to manage multiple follow ups, deadlines, and system tasks in a fast-paced environment.
•    Ability to handle sensitive data and video content with discretion and professionalism.
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively share information across teams and stakeholders.
•    Proficient in computer and technology skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and mobile devices.
