What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead or support the design of roadway projects including typical sections, geometric layouts, drainage and hydraulic analyses, erosion control plans, safety features, and maintenance of traffic plans
  • Prepare construction documents, including plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates
  • Manage tasks and oversee work performed by junior engineers and CAD technicians
  • Support the development and training of early-career staff
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure design excellence and client satisfaction
  • Support a diverse portfolio of projects, including federal, commercial, and institutional clients

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Oklahoma
  • Minimum of 5 years transportation design experience
  • Proficiency with AutoDesk, Civil 3D, or OpenRoads
  • Working knowledge of design standards and guidelines including:
  • AASHTO Green Book
  • Roadside Design Guide
  • MUTCD
  • Oklahoma DOT Roadway Design Manual
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) projects and familiarity with their design standards and plan development preferences

Essential Physical Functions

  • Sit/stand at a desk or computer
  • Walk, stoop, stand and move around job sites
  • Travel and occasional site visits requiring stooping, standing, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Frequent communication via phone, video, or in-person meetings
  • Ability to focus on digital and paper-based information for extended periods
  • Some project-based travel may be required
