Job Description

Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is seeking a Transportation Execution Manager to help develop a world class logistics process that delivers goods on time at the best cost. Our team objective is to manage to excellence freight execution flowing through our transportation networks, specifically focused on transportation carrier management, development, quality and performance.

This role requires an ambitious individual. You’ll represent a critical function within our wider Amazon Transportation Operations, as we work to continuously improve the service levels, capacities and costs of the Amazon Brazil Transportation Line Haul. This will help us ensure promises to our valued customers are being fulfilled each and every time.

Key job responsibilities
- Transportation carrier performance management, such as on-time truck performance, linehaul impact to customer experience, etc.
- Identify and develop appropriate performance metrics for each program and ensure consistent measurement and accountability.
- Pull data from numerous databases (using Excel, Access, SQL and/or other data management systems)
- Track existing metrics to detect & remove any defects
- Continual, tactical and strategic communication with external customers (Carriers) and internal customers (Fulfillment Centers, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Amazon Logistics)
- Design short/medium-term solutions to improve performance and quality of the operations;
- Continuous Improvement Management with carriers, focused in development of larger and more complex players to ensure they will be able to meet demand
- Optimize procedures, process, and best practices
- Handle difficult problems/efforts, mitigating immediate risks but working, decide if they can handle or need to escalate
- Make trade-offs: time vs. quality vs. resources
- Analyze and improve network design in partnership with Supply Chain teams to meet best in class cost and customer experience results;
- Ensure right business metrics are prepared for and participate in regular Operations calls, business reviews, MBRs, etc.

About the team
You will be part of a super connected team responsible for the operation of the middle mile network across Brazil, managing and developing direct relationships with carriers to support Amazon's super accelerated growth in Brazil.

Basic Qualifications


- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience in process improvement
- Experience in English-language communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
