As an intern, you’ll work alongside our experienced practitioners and with our clients and communities. This hands-on experience will equip you with practical skills, build your network, and provide opportunities that set you up for success.

Your Opportunity

As an Intern, you will work in a team environment and have exposure to transportation projects which may include highway and bridges and infrastructure, traffic planning and analysis, and/or airport infrastructure and development. Candidates should be highly motivated and dependable students who are taking or have taken civil engineering, structural or transportation related courses. This is a terrific opportunity for a college student to support a number of exciting local and national projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers in the preparation of contract documents and reports for a variety of civil and structural engineering projects
  • Responsibilities include computer aided design and drafting, checking drawings and calculations, quantity take-offs, simple structural calculations, and field inspection

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer literacy in AutoCAD, MicroStation, structural design software, word processing, Excel, and other standard office software is an asset

Education and Experience

  • Candidates must be enrolled in at least their junior year toward earning a Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil or structural engineering or related field
  • You will work in an open-concept office setting. Local travel may be required for attending client or public meetings, scoping new assignments, and visiting project sites.
