Location: Transportation Department; Dayton, WA

Schedule: Part-Time, Monday through Friday

Compensation: $18.50 - $21.00 per hour

We are seeking a Transportation Driver to safely transport patients to and from appointments. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and professional, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and maintain a positive attitude while representing Columbia County Health System in the community. Strong communication skills, flexibility for varied shifts, and commitment to patient care are essential.

Qualifications

  • Safe and clean driving record
  • Active Washington State Driver’s License
  • BLS certification every 2 years

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport patients to and from appointments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of facility vehicles.
  • Complete mileage tracking sheets accurately.
  • Attend bi-monthly staff meetings.
  • Assess situations and adapt to keep patients safe while portraying a positive image in the community.
  • Coordinate with department schedulers and the Transportation Manager to ensure documentation is ready before appointments.

About Columbia County Health System

More commonly known as Columbia County Health System and Dayton General Hospital, the Columbia County Public Hospital District #1 was established in 1960 with the vision and mission of providing high quality healthcare to our local communities.

We are a 25-bed, Critical Access Hospital with Level V Trauma Center, Level III Cardiac and Stroke Center designations. Additionally, we are the regions primary wound care and hyperbaric therapy treatment center. Our primary service areas include Dayton, Waitsburg, Starbuck, and the surrounding region.

We are comprised of Columbia Family Clinic, Waitsburg Clinic, Booker Rest Home, and Dayton General Hospital with our Rural Health Clinics open for primary care and behavior health services 6 days a week. We are fully staffed with 3 primary care medical doctors, a board-certified emergency medicine doctor, a board-certified pediatrician, 4 mid-level family practice providers, and dermatology focused ARNP. Our Emergency Department is staffed with our employed providers as well as partner physicians.

In addition to Acute Care services, we offer inpatient care for sub-acute, Swing Bed patients, which are patients that need a step down from acute care, but still require skilled nursing care and/or various rehabilitation therapies for an extended period. This service allows patients, who may have had a qualifying, Acute hospitalization or surgery, to return to our facility and receive hospital class nursing and rehabilitation services for an extended period.
