Job Description
To be a successful Transportation Driver you will need:
- A high school diploma or GED
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
- Must have a minimum of 24-months of commercial driving experience
- Must have valid Class A driver license with no more than 2 points
- Knowledge, comprehension, and compliance with DOT rules/regulations
- Demonstrate good judgment and problem-solving skills as well as being an organized record keeper
- Demonstrate organization and accuracy skills; self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects/tasks with competing deadlines
- Demonstrate the ability to solve problems, accept constructive feedback and show flexibility should priorities and/or deadlines change
- Must have the ability to use a phone application for: mapping, work submissions, tracking, timekeeping, and electronic logs
- Approach work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in Producers Dairy Mission
- Own and promote a Safety Culture by ensuring a safe work environment and promoting proper safety behavior.
- Compliance with all federal, state and company driving regulations.
- Interface with customers in a friendly professional manner delivering superior customer service.
- Verify assigned delivery route for the day, obtaining the proper delivery tickets and load sheets along with any other resources to successfully complete deliveries.
- Locate assigned equipment in yard; performing a vehicle pre-trip inspection and recording any deficiencies; checking load-in trailer for stability while transporting and accurately counting product.
- Locate empty equipment (bossy carts, green cases, IC racks); counting and securing equipment on pallets if warranted.
- Will be certified and trained on the use of an electric pallet jack and forklift.
- Deliver to multiple delivery locations that will require different delivery types of service. The use of a milk hook, dolly, electric pallet jack or a ramp may be needed.
- Asset retrieval at delivery points
- Maintain accurate records of transported equipment.
- Collect, review, and submit accurate route settlement paperwork.
- Maintain professional and appropriate dress, hygiene, and personal appearance.
- Complete preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; maintaining safe vehicle conditions.

Hourly: $28.80 - $32.00
