The Transportation Dispatcher/Substitute Van Driver supports the safe, reliable and efficient daily operation of the District's student transportation program, with primary responsibility for dispatching and operational support for district-operated van routes. The position communicates daily assignments and route changes, monitors service, responds to routine transportation issues, maintains transportation records, and assists with vehicle readiness and other transportation office functions. The position also serves as the primary substitute driver for district-operated van routes and other Type III transportation needs as assigned. Under the direction of the Transportation Supervisor, this position carries out established routes, schedules, procedures and operational decisions and provides day-to-day support to Transportation Coordinators.

Schedule: 260 days - Monday - Friday, 8 hours/day

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Pay: $25.73 - $28.36 DOE
