The Opportunity

RS&H is currently seeking a Transportation Digital Engineer to support our Infrastructure service group at the regional level.

Job Summary

This position partners with project teams to get the most value from design and digital delivery tools by guiding project setup, workflows, and model-based delivery practices. This role collaborates with engineers, designers, and project managers to solve challenges, improve efficiency, and deliver high-quality digital project outcomes with a focus in the Bentley software tech stack. Ideal candidates are experienced Bentley users who enjoy helping others, improving how work gets done, and advancing digital delivery across complex infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Project Support - Partner with project teams to plan, implement, and support digital delivery strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Software Expertise - Serve as a trusted resource for Bentley software, helping teams apply tools and workflows effectively.
  • Workflow Improvement - Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency, and reduce rework through better digital practices.
  • Model Coordination & Review - Facilitate collaboration across disciplines to maintain coordinated, accurate, and reliable digital models.
  • Data Integration - Help bring together survey, GIS, reality capture, and design information into connected project environments.
  • Digital Delivery Planning - Support project startup activities, ensuring teams have the tools, standards, and workflows needed for success.
  • Quality Leadership - Promote quality digital deliverables through reviews, best practices, and adherence to project requirements.
  • Technical Problem Solving - Assist teams in resolving workflow, modeling, and software challenges that impact project delivery.
  • Team Development - Share knowledge, coach team members, and help build digital delivery capabilities across the organization.
  • Innovation Adoption - Evaluate and encourage new technologies, workflows, and approaches that improve project performance and user experience.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelors degree from an accredited program in Architecture, Engineering, Engineering Technology, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Science, Construction Management, or a related technical or technology management discipline; Or an equivalent combination of progressive professional experience, technical certifications, and demonstrated leadership.
  • Minimum 7+ years working in digital design and Digital Delivery methods, supporting model-based delivery on complex, multi-discipline projects.
  • Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, project teams, and other key stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to provide technical guidance to junior staff and to address challenging issues in a sound, professional, and business like manner.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications and Digital Delivery credentials (e.g. CM-BIM).
  • Professional Licensure (PE/RA) or PMP a plus; experience leading Digital Delivery on complex projects.
  • State Department of Transportation experience
  • Experience developing guidance documentation and trainings
  • Ability to build working relationships with clients and project managers
  • Experience with additional software applications geared towards the Transportation market
