Transportation Engineer 1/Transportation Civil Engineer (TCE), Construction Department, PN 20054264
Work Location: District 4 Headquarters, 2088 South Arlington Road, Akron, OH 44306
Transportation Engineer 1 hire will complete ODOT’s Transportation Civil Engineering Program to include a 12 month training plan & scheduled rotation through the department’s core engineering disciplines; Planning & Engineering, Construction and Highway Maintenance.

Bachelor's degree in engineering; Accepted for Basic Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (EIT exam) by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors.

All bargaining unit and exempt new hires to ODOT must serve a one-year probationary period.
If this position is filled internally, the wage rate will be determined in accordance with the contract.
This position is overtime eligible per FLSA Standards.

conducting inspections; may work varying hours.
