- Led Capital Improvement Program (CIP) project tracking, including schedules, milestones, data management, and quarterly
- Mobility Fee and ELMS Gas Tax reporting
- Managed CIP reporting and financial tracking in GovMax to support accurate project oversight and compliance
- Performed TPS reviews and maintained CIP checkbooks by reconciling expenditures, monitoring budgets, and analyzing
- funding variances
- Reviewed and coordinated CIP invoice payments and processed procurement actions, including purchase orders, payment
- requests, and change orders
- Collaborated with project managers, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure timely updates, financial accuracy, and documentation compliance
- Identified and resolved discrepancies related to project data, funding allocations, and expenditures while ensuring audit readiness
- Ensured compliance with CIP policies, funding requirements, and County audit standards
- Served as District Coordinator for Public Improvement Districts (PIDs), including Siesta Key Village, conducting monthly walkthroughs and coordinating stakeholder meetings
- Responded to citizen inquiries and coordinated with staff, contractors, and departments to resolve operational and service related issues
- Managed PID ordinances, TRIM process activities, non-ad valorem tax roll submissions, and tracked district performance to recommend operational improvements
- Managed PID and CIP budget tracking, financial analysis, internal billing, reconciliations, expenditure monitoring, and expenditure forecasting to support budget accuracy and identify potential financial impacts
- Supported departmental procurement, payment processing, reporting, compliance activities, special projects, and administrative coordination to ensure efficient operations and timely project support
Work Hours: Monday- Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
About You
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field AND three (3) years of professional experience in budgeting, financial analysis, procurement, project coordination, or administrative analysis or related field
- -OR- Bachelor's degree in an accredited college or university in Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field AND one (1) year of professional experience in budgeting, financial analysis, procurement, project coordination, or administrative analysis or related field
- -OR- Five (5) years of professional-related experience can be substituted for the degree at management's discretion
- A valid Florida Driver's License at the time of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have experience in...
- Budgeting, financial tracking, fund accounting, and Sarasota County financial systems, including GovMax and Finance Enterprise
- Knowledgeable in state and local regulations related to MSTU/MSBU, Public Improvement Districts (PIDs), utility billing, non-ad valorem assessments, and TRIM/tax roll processes
- Skilled in Capital Improvement Program (CIP) tracking, project coordination, procurement processes, invoice processing, and purchase order management
- Proficient in project management and data systems, including Smartsheet, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office 365, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communicator with experience coordinating with staff, stakeholders, and the public while managing multiple priorities and presenting information clearly

About Everything Else
Starting Pay Range: $58,947.20/ annually, potentially more based on experience
