Reporting into the Mississauga Distribution Centre Supervisor, the Transportation and Shipping Office Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating warehouse / carrier traffic, supports inventory control processes, works daily with carrier partners, and collaborates daily with Mississauga Distribution Centre, and any other internal customers.

This position is contract and is for the midnight shift.

What you'll be doing:

Daily Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Complete Daily Shipping Documents for all outbound loads
  • Plan and coordinate transportation for daily shipments with carriers and manage the timely delivery to customers on time and in full
  • Ensure customer returns are returned from carrier in a timely manner working alongside with CSR and Inside sales
  • Maintain Daily Standard Operating Procedures
  • Work with Mississauga Distribution Centre Supervisors on daily order processing for pick, pack and ship on time and in full right the first time
  • Work with Customer Service and the Inside Sales Team on delivery issues providing support and resolution
  • Build and maintain carrier delivery issue reporting matrix
  • Work with the CSR and Inside Sales Team on order fulfillment discrepancies
  • Build and maintain order discrepancy fulfillment reporting matrix
  • Build, maintain and track carrier reporting scored card, setting metrics and reviewed monthly with management team and carriers
  • Point of contact for carriers and point of contact for follow ups for the CSR and Inside Sales Team and any other internal stakeholders, document issues and escalation process as required

Inventory Control & Accuracy

  • Ensure product holds and releases, are actioned after removals to process order transactions remain compliant to the process
  • Identify opportunities to increase order fulfillment controls and accuracy
  • Refuse noncompliant inbound / outbound carriers and report to Mississauga Distribution Centre Supervisor for escalation
  • Management of damages from carriers
  • Work with Supervisors on inventory issues and discrepancies when closing of orders
  • Ensuring data integrity when closing of order in the system driving inventory accuracy

Health & Safety

  • Ensure compliance to ISO and HACCP Guidelines
  • Identify opportunities to increase compliance
  • Support objectives of the Health & Safety Committee

Other Support

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Identify opportunities for cost saving initiatives
  • Provide vacation coverage
  • Any other tasks or duties identified or assigned

Who you are:

  • Secondary School Diploma
  • 1-2 years Transportation, Logistics, and Inventory Management
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to multi task
  • Attention to detail exceptional analytical skills and detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a high paced, multi-task environment

Compensation: Budgeted Range – $44,689 - $61,448. The budgeted range takes into account several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements. Base pay is only one component of the total rewards offering at Arterra.
