JOB OVERVIEW

The Transportation Analyst II plays a vital role in supporting the logistics and supply chain operations by utilizing Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to optimize transportation activities. This position involves monitoring shipments, analyzing transportation data, coordinating logistics, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:

• Lead the development and conduct analysis on transportation-related KPIs
• Create innovative "outside the box" solutions for complex transportation challenges
• Oversee and coordinate complex transportation operations, including route planning, carrier selection, and freight management
• Collaborate with Logistics Operators and various departments to resolve complex daily transportation issues
• Conduct advanced transportation mode analysis through applied relevant specifications
• Analyze transportation data to identify trends, optimize processes, and reduce costs
• Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives related to transportation
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with carriers, shippers, and receivers
• Lead the optimization of routing and improve overall efficiency
• Develop and implement quality data collection processes
• Provide strategic recommendations based on in-depth data analysis
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to their professional development
• Generate and distribute time-sensitive reporting across the organization to assist with weekly, monthly, and annual requirements.
• Self-motivated problem solver willing to solve problems independently or with assistance.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in in Transportation Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business is required.
• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of one (1) year of experience in the Transportation Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business industry preferred.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced data analysis tools
• Extensive experience with multiple transportation modes (TL, LTL, Parcel)
• Extensive working experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Blue Yonder)
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills
• Ability to think strategically and drive process improvements
• Proven ability to develop and implement effective SOPs across multiple teams.
• Uses effective oral and written communication skills; delivers information in a clear and concise manner, listens and communicates effectively with others.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, to permit the employee to function in a general office environment and accomplish tasks and duties as outlined above.
