Job Description

You will be responsible for end-to-end transport operations and improving logistics performance across the region. This role combines hands-on execution with data analysis and problem-solving. You are expected to take ownership, understand how processes work in practice, identify issues, and drive improvements where needed.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Transport Execution & Operations (incl. Customs & Trade)

  • Manage end-to-end import and export transport operations (planning, booking, scheduling, track & trace)
  • Coordinate carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers
  • Issue and manage transport orders, ensuring timely and accurate execution
  • Monitor and communicate shipment progress and react to delays, disruptions, and escalations
  • Ensure transport and customs documentation is correct and complete (e.g., export declarations, origin, shipping documents)
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and international trade requirements
  • Maintain and update transport-related master data
  • Monitor forwarder performance in daily operations and resolve issues

Performance & Problem Solving

  • Monitor key logistics KPIs (on-time delivery, lead time, transit time)
  • Identify performance gaps and understand root causes
  • Analyze delays, complaints, and recurring issues
  • Follow up on corrective actions with carriers and internal teams

Process & Standardization

  • Understand how transport processes work across different sites
  • Identify differences, gaps, and inefficiencies in daily operations
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to align ways of working where needed
  • Support building more consistent and structured transport processes

Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Planning, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, Customer Service, and external partners
  • Provide timely and structured updates and reporting to management
  • Build strong working relationships across the regional team
  • Share knowledge and contribute to continuous learning

Qualifications:

  • University degree in logistics or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in transport/logistics (manufacturing or forwarding company
  • Good understanding of customs processes and transport market dynamics
  • Solid understanding of supply chain and material flows
  • Experience with ERP/WMS systems (SAP preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills (Excel
  • English (min. B2)

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional level experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level
