Evening Shift
What You’ll Do:
Patient Transport & Experience
Safely and courteously transport patients between nursing units, diagnostic areas, and other departments
Operate designated patient transport elevators to ensure efficiency and comfort
Treat every patient and guest with dignity, empathy, and respect
Communication & Coordination
Communicate all stages of patient transport clearly with the dispatcher
Collaborate effectively with nursing staff, ancillary departments, and medical center personnel
Proactively report delays, barriers, or service issues and escalate patient‑experience concerns when needed
Safety First
Prioritize patient, visitor, and coworker safety at all times
Use transport equipment safely and correctly
Immediately report unsafe equipment or practices to leadership
Accountability & Teamwork
Deliver timely, reliable patient transport while meeting productivity expectations
Attend required trainings, in‑services, and staff meetings
Follow all departmental and hospital policies and procedures
Take initiative to support continuous improvement across departments
Privacy & Professionalism
Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
Protect patient and guest privacy during all interactions and transports
Preferred Education: GED or High School Diploma
A patient‑focused mindset with strong communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
Reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to safety and service excellence
Compensation:
Salary Range: $16.94 - $19.28 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
