Job Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor (Night Shift) to lead our road transport operations across. In this key position leadership, you will ensure the safe, efficient, and customer-focused execution of daily operations. This role will oversee transport function, managing both people and performance to deliver operational excellence and commercial results.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring safety and compliance, optimising transport activities, and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, customers, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and budget compliance.
Manage fleet movements for company and subcontractors
Manage the yard, including reach stackers and yard optimisation
Ensure compliance with NHVR regulations.
Escalation for all customer and people issues on the shift
Review and approve transport invoices, maintaining 100% accuracy.
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing, accountable transport team.
Act as TMS super user, driving continuous improvement and system implementation.
Qualifications, Skill & Experience Required:
5+ year’s experience in transport operations with proven team leadership.
Strong knowledge of container transport and Chain of Responsibility.
Skilled in Transport Management Systems (TMS); familiarity with Container Chain and 1-Stop advantageous.
Excellent planning, organisation, and problem-solving abilities.
High attention to detail with a customer-focused, results-driven mindset.
Effective communicator able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently
