Transport Solution Design Engineer (m/f/x)

UPS is looking for a Transport Solution Design Engineer to design and price pan‑European ground transportation solutions for Cold Chain and Health Tech customers.

In this role, you will translate complex customer requirements and data into operationally executable, costed transport networks spanning first mile, linehaul, and final mile across multiple European countries. Your work will directly support new business development and strategic healthcare growth at UPS.

This is an engineering‑led role with ownership of solution design, pricing logic, and customer‑ready deliverables.

What you will do:

• Design end‑to‑end pan‑EU ground transport solutions for Cold Chain and Health Tech clients

• Analyze customer data (volumes, lanes, service levels, temperature requirements) and convert it into optimized transport network designs

• Design and optimize:

  • First mile collections

  • Linehaul and cross‑border connecting lanes

  • Final mile distribution to healthcare facilities and service points

• Build engineering‑based pricing models, including:

  • First & final mile costs

  • Linehaul and network costs

  • Financial assumptions and cost drivers

• Define commercial terms & conditions linked to the solution design

• Produce:

  • Solution overviews and operating concepts

  • Financial summaries for internal pricing reviews

  • Client‑ready presentation materials explaining the solution and pricing

• Collaborate with sales, operations, transport, and pricing stakeholders across Europe

What you bring:

• Degree in Engineering, Transport, Supply Chain, or similar technical field

• Strong experience in ground transport network design and pricing

• Exposure to Cold Chain and/or healthcare / Health Tech logistics

• Proven ability to work with complex, multi‑country European transport networks

• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel/data modeling capabilities

• Ability to clearly explain complex designs and pricing logic to commercial and operational audiences

• Comfortable working on multiple bids or projects in parallel in a fast‑paced environment
