WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO AS TRANSPORT PLANNER?

As Transport Planner, you are primarily responsible for organizing (inter)national transport using external carriers. This involves inbound and outbound planning for our clients. You do this via various transport modalities, or channels through which you can procure transport. To arrive at the ideal solution, you are in regular contact with clients and carriers. The transport you arrange can take place by land, air, or sea.

As Transport Planner you are going to do the following tasks:

  • Inventorying orders and arranging the necessary (export) documents;
  • Requesting various quotations and assessing the most suitable transport requests;
  • Coordinating transport, loading, and delivery times with the internal and external customer and the carriers;
  • Maintaining source files containing data and reports for external carriers;
  • Maintaining data in the Transport Management System.

WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO WORK?

As Transport Planner, you work in our Transport Team, which consists of several colleagues. In this position, you report to the Contract Supervisor Transport and work at our location in Nijmegen. The Control Tower in Nijmegen, as part of a global network, provides end-to-end transport and supply chain services to international clients with the aim of managing and optimizing supply chains (costs, quality, and effectiveness). You will do this in a driven and professional atmosphere, where there is plenty of room for fun and connection! You report to Contract Supervisor and your working hours vary between 08:00 and 18:00.

You have a commercial mindset and think proactively in the interest of both internal and external clients. You are able to switch gears quickly and set priorities. In addition, you bring the following knowledge and experience:

  • At least an MBO/HBO working and thinking level;
  • You have experience with (international) transport planning or booking transport;
  • Experience with automated information systems and MS Office;
  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, both written and spoken.

  • A gross monthly salary between € 2.934 and € 3.968 plus 8% holiday pay (classification depending on, among other things, your work experience and level of education);
