The Transportation Analyst will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling the movement of goods for TL, bulk liquid and drayage, ensuring timely delivery while optimizing costs and efficiency. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including drivers, carriers, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Interpret information related to each shipment; gather additional information as needed
  • Determine optimal equipment for each shipment in relation to cost minimization and service requirements
  • Execute shipment tendering process
  • Negotiate spot prices with service providers
  • Monitor daily each shipment in relation to required pickup and delivery date/time
  • Identify and resolve exceptions as they arise
  • Proactively communicate information to other departments and customers as needed
  • Support Transportation Team administrative functions as needed
  • Analyze weekly/monthly metrics resulting in proactive corrective actions

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations or business-related field
  • 1+ years of experience in Transportation and Distribution
  • Strong proficiency in English – oral and written
  • Familiarity with Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices
  • Proven ability to multitask & prioritize in a fast paced environment
  • Proven ability to process information for making judgments on incomplete & ambiguous information
