At Capgemini Engineering, the world leader in engineering services, we bring together a global team of engineers, scientists, and architects to help the world’s most innovative companies unleash their potential. From autonomous cars to life-saving robots, our digital and software technology experts think outside the box as they provide unique R&D and engineering services across all industries. Join us for a career full of opportunities. Where you can make a difference. Where no two days are the same.

At Capgemini Engineering, we are proud to support some of the world's leading telecommunications providers in keeping their networks running at their best. As part of our growing team in Colombia, you'll play a vital role in the operational health of a telecommunications infrastructure working at the frontline of network monitoring, incident management, and service continuity. If you thrive in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment and take pride in keeping critical services online, this is the role for you.

In this role you will play a key role in:

Performing continuous monitoring of network and service platforms, detecting, classifying, and managing alarms and events, while correlating alerts to assess their impact on customers and internal infrastructure
Executing first-level troubleshooting following established operational procedures, managing the full incident lifecycle from initial diagnosis through to escalation, resolution, and service restoration validation
Supporting scheduled maintenance windows, operational changes, and post-change health checks, ensuring full compliance with operational standards, security requirements, and governance processes
Providing timely and accurate communication to customers and stakeholders regarding incidents, service degradations, and restoration activities, while maintaining detailed shift logs and participating in operational handovers
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying recurring incidents, supporting automation opportunities, and maintaining up-to-date operational documentation and knowledge management resources

Your Profile

We are looking for a technically skilled and operationally focused engineer who brings a proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a genuine commitment to service quality in a 24/7 telecoms environment.

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a network operations, NOC, or telecommunications maintenance role, with hands-on exposure to monitoring and management tools used in large-scale infrastructure environments
Solid understanding of transport network platforms and telecommunications infrastructure, with the ability to perform initial fault diagnosis, determine fault domains, and assess service impact effectively
Proven experience managing incident tickets, following escalation procedures, and working collaboratively with L2/L3 support teams, vendors, and specialist operational groups to drive resolution
Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to maintain accurate operational records, produce quality ticket documentation, and ensure adherence to SLA compliance and KPI targets such as MTTA and incident response time
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clearly with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, and to support major incident communications under pressure
