Job Description

1. Analyse traffic survey data, transport statistics, and observed traffic patterns to support transport planning and modelling studies.
2. Assess the performance, impact, and efficiency of operational plans, transport strategies, and Transportation Master Plans.
3. Undertake transportation demand modelling, including origin-destination analysis, growth rate estimation, network assignment, and traffic flow forecasting.
4. Model changes in travel demand resulting from variations in infrastructure, land use, transport policy, demographics, and development phasing.
5. Evaluate the transport impacts and operational consequences of major infrastructure schemes, master plans, and urban development projects.
6. Calibrate and validate traffic models using observed traffic counts, journey time data, queue length surveys, and other relevant survey datasets.
7. Conduct accessibility analysis to assess connectivity, travel time, catchment coverage, and network performance.
8. Undertake traffic demand forecasting and capacity analysis for roads, corridors, junctions, and development access points.
9. Carry out parking demand analysis for residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, retail, and event-based developments.
10. Apply relevant international standards and guidelines for trip generation, parking demand estimation, and transport impact assessment.
11. Perform traffic operations analysis to assess network performance, congestion, delay, queueing, level of service, and mitigation requirements.
12. Conduct junction capacity assessments using software such as SIDRA, Synchro, HCS, and TRANSYT-7F.
13. Develop and apply strategic transport models using software packages such as PTV VISUM, TransCAD, EMME, CUBE, and SATURN.
14. Prepare and review microsimulation traffic models using PTV VISSIM for corridors, junctions, interchanges, access roads, and complex urban networks.
15. Prepare Traffic Impact Study reports, modelling methodology notes, calibration and validation reports, technical memoranda, and client / authority submission documents.

Requirements

1. Minimum 5 years of experience in Traffic Modelling or related fields, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry dynamics and practices.
2. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering & M.E/M.Tech. in Transportation Engineering
2. Experience: Working experience for regions such as Middle East, UK, and USA will be preferred.
