Job Title
Transport Manager
Operations & Coordination
- Assist in planning and managing transport schedules and routes
- Coordinate with drivers, vendors, and logistics teams for timely deliveries
- Monitor daily fleet operations and ensure optimum utilization
- Track shipments and resolve delays or disruptions
Fleet & Vehicle Management
- Maintain records of vehicles, maintenance schedules, and fuel usage
- Ensure all vehicles are in good working condition
- Coordinate repairs, servicing, and inspections
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies
- Maintain documentation such as permits, insurance, licenses, and logs
- Prepare reports on transport activities, costs, and performance metrics
Team Support & Supervision
- Assist in supervising drivers and transport staff
- Monitor driver performance, attendance, and behavior
- Support training initiatives related to safety and operations
Cost & Efficiency Management
- Monitor fuel consumption and operational costs
- Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement
- Assist in budget tracking and expense reporting
Safety & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to road safety standards and company safety protocols
- Handle emergency transport situations or breakdowns
- Conduct safety checks and awareness programs
Skills
- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Knowledge of transport/logistics operations
- Familiarity with fleet management systems or GPS tracking tools
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities
- Basic analytical skills for reporting and cost control
Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in transport/logistics operations (preferred)
