The Opportunity:

Warehouse material handlers are responsible for accurate receiving, storing, picking, and shipping of products to meet VWR standards of productivity, quality, safety, and customer service. This position is based in an industrial warehouse setting and is a position that is flexible to a wide array of duties within warehousing.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage transportation & logistics for European single use business. Currently based in Hillegom and Tilburg.
• Organize and coordinate inbound, irradiation and outbound transportation of raw materials and finished products.
• Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers.
• Monitor shipment schedules, track deliveries, and resolve transportation issues as they arise.
• Optimize logistics processes for cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
• Prepare and process shipping documents, customs declarations, and other required paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with international, national, and local transportation regulations.
• Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, production, customer service) to align logistics with business needs.
• Analyze transportation data and provide regular reports on KPIs, costs, and performance metrics.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain and logistics function.

Develop engineering & procurement packaging solutions for single assemblies as well as hardware systems

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of transportation modes, logistics processes, and relevant regulations (including customs and import/export requirements).
• Experience with logistics management systems (TMS/WMS) and standard office software (Excel, ERP systems).
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
